CRISPR cows and super sows
How do we feed a growing population and deal with the environmental impacts of intensive farming? Do people have a right to eat affordable meat and, if so, what does this mean for animal welfare? How do we best protect animals against diseases caused because of how they are farmed? This public dialogue explored the potential to use technology to tweak the genomes of farmed animals to address these and other challenges with the food and farming system. Take a look at our fascinating report and see whether people felt gene editing technologies can be aligned with human and animal interests.
