What do people get up to in their kitchens?
To find out we put motion-sensitive cameras in over 100 kitchens, including in homes and food businesses. From the imaginative uses of tea towels, through to folks not washing hands after preparing raw meat - this research for the Food Standards Agency lifts the lid on food safety.
As well as getting a unique insight into kitchen life by filming, this two-year project involved interviews, surveys, monitoring fridge temperatures and a nifty bit of analysis to understand what drives people’s behaviours. Delighted to receive another award for this work, this time for the Most Innovative Method in the Analysis in Government awards.

“Funny all these things you just do automatically, you don’t think about it.”
